Firsts & favourites: Books with LGBT+ themes

I T  P R I D E   M O N T H !

To celebrate, I am sharing some of my favourite LGBT+ books and those that played an early role in my LGBT+ reading experience. The first book I ever read with an LGBT+ character of any kind was City of Bones in 2009, when I was 15 (go Alec!). I didn’t read a book with an LGBT+ main character until several years later, but I have been hooked ever since!

  • Firsts: The very first few books I read within each category

  • Categories: LGBT+ supporting characters | LGBT+ main characters | Gender diverse main characters | YA & NA | Contemporary | Historical | Crime & thriller | Sci-fi | Epic & high fantasy | Low fantasy & paranormal | Top TBR
