Rebecca Alasdair was born in 1994 in Melbourne, Australia and began writing stories from the moment she learned to hold a pencil. She completed her first novel-length piece at age sixteen—a whopping YA fantasy fiction of 240k words.
After completing a double degree in Science and Environmental Engineering at university, Rebecca now works in the public sector while carving out whatever time she can for her writerly pursuits.
These include working on her WIPs Holding Up the Sky (contemporary YA) and Graceborn (fantasy), reading until the dawn light peeks through the curtains, and indulging her obsessive tendencies by organising and reorganising her rainbow-coloured bookshelves.
