My top ten reads of 2019
There is still a little over a week left in 2019, but to date I have read a total of 74 books, and the time has come to announce my TOP TEN reads of the year! Bookworms, come forth, and let’s discuss our favourite books that we read in 2019!! →
As 2019 draws to a close, the time has come to compile a list of my favourite reads in the last 12 months. While I still can’t believe that the year is almost over (how on earth did THAT happen?), and trying to pick my top ten books is always a somewhat arduous task, I have finally made my choices. But before we begin, a few quick things I wanted to point out:
MY RATINGS
There is still time left in 2019, but to date I have read a total of 74 books, and my average rating is 4.3 stars. Why so high, you might ask? Because I generally enjoy every book I read. Over the years, I’ve developed a knack for knowing what kind of books I like, and the result is that I very rarely give a book a low rating. Which is great…except when it comes to trying to select my “favourites”
THE RULE
I read quite a lot of series, and also have a couple of authors whose books I always adore. To maintain some diversity in my list of 2019 favourites, I have decided to implement the following rule: only one book by any given author may be included in my top ten reads. So here we go! I’d love to hear what you think of my list, and what your favourite books were this year!
