Can you believe we’re already a quarter of the way through the year?! I had a moderately productive month this March, despite how busy I was. Read on for the details on my writing progress and all the books I read! →
Um…how is it already the end of March? But at the same time, why does it feel like this month has gone on forever? I’ve had a moderately productive four-and-a-half weeks, which I will go into more below, and some of my other monthly “highlights” include:
Starting my final semester of uni. I’m back in the swing of studying and working on assignments as I work my way through my final two university subjects! While utterly sick of studying, the end is now in sight!
Celebrating one year on Instagram. In the last year, I’ve had so much fun connecting with other book-lovers, posting bookish photographs, and procrastinating from everything else! You can follow me at here.

Holding Up the Sky

Status: Beta reading

Blood of Old (Graceborn #1)

Status: Writing 2nd draft
Word count: 20,900
What’s new: This month, I really sunk my teeth into the 2nd draft of Blood of Old, the first book in my fantasy series Graceborn, and now I’m about 4 chapters in. It’s slower going than I expected, so my time-related goals are likely to blow out, but I’m pretty happy with the content so far!
This March, I read a total of 7 books. A couple of these were on my intended TBR, but I’m a real mood reader so a couple I didn’t expect to get to until I picked them up! The books I finished this month are:

There is certainly no shortage of marvellous quotes in V.E. Schwab’s Vicious, but this one is a favourite of mine. While powerful within the context of the story, I also find it powerful simply on its own. It serves as a reminder that, more than anything else, it is the small things—our everyday choices and decisions—that define who we are.

Congratulations! Myself, I’ve moved on from circulation to information work at the library; not full time yet but in the right direction (on the desk training begins in April). Yesterday I attended the Maryland Writers’ Conference – had a good time, sold some books, and going back today! Some progress was made on the sequel to Mystical Greenwood too.

Excellent month you had. I try to stay consistent. I’m reworking the glitches of novel number 2. Yet to have a title so I’m going with that. Doing my usual beta read and blog entries.
