I had a little chuckle at this quote today, partic I had a little chuckle at this quote today, particularly since my planned two weeks off turned into more like five. 😅 While I can be pretty good at making excuses for myself, I honestly needed this time away. Between working full time, raising a puppy, maintaining my exercise routine, AND writing, I've been pretty stretched the last few months. I'm planning to ease back into things between now and the end of the year, but we'll see how it goes. Where has the time gone?! This debut novel of mine was a bit of an experiment, to be honest, but I'm immensely proud of what it has achieved and how it grew my confidence as an author. There are a few minor things I need to go back and fix, but first, I'll be taking 2 weeks off to rest and celebrate!! I swear, the closer book 1 of my epic fantasy series gets to being done, the more time I spend playing around with different cover concepts. One new 5⭐️ review on Goodreads and one DM from a reader telling me how much the book meant to them put a smile on my dial for DAYS.
