There are two main celebrations that mark the calendar in the world of Graceborn: 🎉 Zamkhulis, which occurs at midsummer. The longest day, the shortest night, in the very middle of the year on the full moon of summer’s second lunation. It's a vibrant time for celebrating life and the Maker's blessings. 🎉 Zamtaris, which occurs at midwinter. The shortest day, the longest night, on the full moon of winter's second lunation. It is a quiet, reflective time, marking the end of one year and the beginning of the next. Hi there, I'm Rebecca Alasdair! I'm an Australian Hi there, I'm Rebecca Alasdair! I'm an Australian author who has dabbled in multiple genres but whose true love remains fantasy—the more epic, the better. Born, raised, and still living in Melbourne, I have been writing from the moment I learned to hold a pencil. I completed my first novel-length piece in high school after countless failed attempts, then kept at it until I published my first book in 2022. I am now an environmental protection worker by day, teller of stories by night, and full-time pawrent to a cheeky Miniature Schnauzer called Violet.
