Ancient and powerful, Mahvan is a force to be reckoned with. He learns quickly, has many connections, and is highly unpredictable, which is what makes him so dangerous.

Strengths: Nurturing, emotional, supportive

Weaknesses: Moody, pessimistic, insecure, unable to let go

A key protagonist, Endrid is a supportive friend who is always there for those who need him. He struggles with depression and low self-esteem after certain events in his past.

Strengths: Self-assured, warm-hearted, generous

Weaknesses: Egotistical, prideful, controlling

Though he’s reviled by several of the heroes, Cyrus has a heart of gold. He’s confident and willing to sacrifice, but his pride and need for control puts him at odds with others.

Strengths: Loyal, kind, modest

Weaknesses: Shy, perfectionistic

The second of the two MCs, Asa is a healer at heart; he cares deeply for others and always stands by the people he loves. Shy and modest, he has high expectations of himself.

Strengths: Social, charming, gracious, diplomatic

Weaknesses: Indecisive, avoids confrontation, grudgeful

Farai is the life of the party. A charismatic Weaver and teacher, they work well with others, but don’t cope at all with conflict. They rarely forgive those who have wronged them.

Strengths: Brave, intense, sacrificing

Weaknesses: Secretive, destructive, violent

Another key protagonist, Tora is an Adept whose affinity is death, so she is no stranger to violence and destruction. But she is also fearless and willing to put herself on the line.

Strengths: Funny, optimistic, open-minded

Weaknesses: Impatient, tactless

Lysandra is Myrrine’s Guide, who is unafraid to speak her mind. She adds some much-needed humour to her Bonded’s rigid existence and is very accepting of others.

Strengths: Disciplined, driven, responsible

Weaknesses: Ruthless, unforgiving, rigid, condescending

Born into a royal family and now a powerful Adept, Myrrine knows how to take charge. She is mature and hard-working, but is cold towards others and thinks herself quite superior.

Strengths: Altruistic, progressive, intelligent

Weaknesses: Aloof, detached, temperamental

The second of Myrrine’s Guides, Ambrose carries an invisible wound that makes him distant and somewhat erratic. But he’s incredibly bright and worldly, and is selfless in his actions.

Strengths: Compassionate, artistic, intuitive, wise, mystical

Weaknesses: Escapist, submissive, can be a victim

Sky is a beautiful singer with a mystical and mysterious past. He understands people well, allowing him to act with empathy and wisdom, yet he has little control over his own life.
